Overview
The Ojai Retreat sits on a private 5-acre hilltop overlooking the Ojai Valley, situated just minutes from downtown, & yet it feels like a world away. All 12 unique rooms have access to the two-story main house where a buffet-style breakfast is served seven days a week. The first floor offers a spacious and bright meeting/conference room with picture windows and a welcoming fireplace. On the second floor, guests can enjoy reading, writing, yoga, and meditating in the Quiet Room/Library. The gardens and walking trails are abundant throughout the property for guests to enjoy. Nine rooms have a private garden/patio with beautiful views. All contain a microwave/refrigerator/drip coffee pot.
Main House 1st floor
Adyar Room (partial handicap friendly room): Beautiful, large ground floor corner room with a king-size bed, private bathroom with shower-tub combination and antique tiles, writing/dining table, and a small peaceful private garden patio.
Green Room: Bright ground floor room with a queen-size bed, bay window with writing/dining table, bathroom with shower, and a large peaceful private garden patio.
Main House 2nd floor
Cozy Room: Small (140 sq ft) room with gorgeous mountain views to the west & north, a queen-size bed, armchair, & writing desk. The microwave & fridge are in the adjacent hallway. SHARED shower-tub combination bathroom with Topa-Topa.
Topa-Topa Room: Breathtaking views of the Topa-Topa Mountain’s Pink Moment from the queen-size bed, writing table & restful reading chair. The microwave & fridge are in the adjacent hallway. SHARED shower-tub combination bathroom with Topa-Topa.
First Cottage
Ojai Suite: The large suite has a beautiful living room with a queen-size pull-out sofa bed, microwave, fridge, and a bathroom with shower-tub combination. The bedroom has a queen-size bed, a writing/dining table, and a private terrace with spectacular mountain and valley views.
Second Cottage
Bella Vista: Beautifully decorated garden room with a queen-size bed, queen-size pull-out sofa bed, sunny dining and writing alcove, microwave and fridge, and private bath with shower-tub combination.
Garden Room: Picturesque room with some of the best views on the property from the queen-size bed and writing/dining table, a full kitchen, private terrace, and bathroom with shower.
Third Cottage
Sky Suite: Enjoy amazing views from this suite that sits on a hill’s edge with a queen-size bed in the bedroom and a twin-size day bed in the second room. It also offers a writing/dining table, bathroom with shower-tub combination, microwave and fridge, and small private patio.
Patio Room: Welcoming and warm, this room has a queen-size bed, bathroom with shower-tub combination, writing table, microwave, fridge, and sunny private patio with garden views.
Balcony Room: Stunning views from this beautiful hillside room with a queen-size bed, bathroom with shower-tub combination, microwave and fridge, writing/dining table, and a private wood balcony with views of the mountains and valley.
Fourth Cottage
Eucalyptus Room: Spacious room with a queen-size bed, writing/dining table, reading chair, bathroom with shower-tub combination, microwave & fridge, and a flagstone patio with gorgeous mountain and valley views.
Oak Room: A small (140 sq ft) but serene room with a queen-size bed, writing/dining table, microwave & fridge, bathroom with shower, and an expansive private flagstone patio with mountain and valley views.

• RATES INCLUDE use of the Great Room, Quiet Room/Library, Waterfall Garden, Mountain View Patio, Pink Moment Terrace, patios and walking trails throughout the 5-acre hilltop property when events are not taking place. Rates as listed are for 1 or 2 people per room. For each additional person there is a $50 charge per night.

• Events, yoga classes and massages are NOT included in the price.
• CANCELLATION POLICY: Our regular cancellation period is 5 days. You will be charged 5 days ahead of your arrival. For instance, if you are scheduled to check-in on January 10th, your credit card will be charged on the 5th. There will not be any refunds given after 5 days. If you book within 5 days of your arrival, you will be charged at the time of booking and there cannot be any cancellation/refund afterwards. If you book 4 rooms or more, or stay for 1 week or longer, the cancellation period is 10 days. Cancellations must be made directly by calling and speaking to an office manager or by e-mail with a confirmed response. Every reservation and every cancellation will be confirmed by e-mail.

Choose Your Accommodation
Adyar Sunrise Room
Adyar Sunrise Room is ADA Accessible. There is a private accessible parking space outside of the rooms’ door. There are grab bars in the bathroom and a seat available for the bathtub. The room has generous space for navigating it with a wheelchair. There is a fire alarm in the bathroom and in the bedroom. Plus a pull lever fire alarm by the door. There is an accessible path to the registration desk from the lower parking lot. The breakfast room is also accessible from the Adyar Sunrise Room. Green Room
On the first floor of the Main House you'll find the Green Room, bright with light pouring in from the bay windows. A queen bed, private bath with tile floors and shower, as well as a lovely garden terrace awaits you outside of the room's back door.
Cozy Room - Upstairs with Shared Bath
This small enchanting room shares a full independent bathroom (tub and shower), with the Topa Topa Room. The bathroom is just outside the door in the hallway. The Cozy room feels like being in a tree house with the mountain views to the west and north. It has a queen bed, writing desk and comfy reading chair. The adjacent hallway also includes a personal small refrigerator and cabinets along with a shared microwave. The Quiet Room and a balcony with gorgeous views are at the other end of the hall.
Topa Topa Room - Upstairs with Shared Bath
A small room that shares a full independent bathroom (tub and shower), with the Cozy Room. The bathroom is just outside the door in the hallway. The Topa Topa room has a view of the Ojai Valley and the Topa-Topa mountain's "Pink Moment". It has a queen bed, writing table and comfy reading chair. The adjacent hallway also includes a personal small refrigerator and cabinets along with a shared microwave. The Quiet Room and a balcony with gorgeous views are at the other end of the hall.
Ojai Suite
Awaken in the morning to panoramic views from this gorgeous suite's bedroom which holds a queen bed, writing table and comfortable reading chair. The private terrace overlooks one-of-a-kind mountain and valley vistas. The upper room has a pull-out sofa, lounge chairs as well as a full private bath with full private bath (with bathtub) and garden views all around.
Bella Vista Room
Up a flagstone staircase from the nearby parking lot is Bella Vista, which means beautiful view. From the writing table in the sun-drenched alcove you will see how aptly this room is named -- with queen bed, pull-out sofa and full private bathroom with bathtub.
Garden Room
In this room you will feel tranquility in abundance. Windows surround you in this favorite of rooms. A full kitchen awaits your culinary pleasure while outside on your private terrace you will have Ojai views second to none. Queen bed, bathroom with shower.
Sky Suite
Aptly named of the feeling of sleeping in a tree house. Two rooms, front with queen bed, kitchenette, access to private flagstone terrace with stunning views. Second room holds a single-size trundle bed as well as a writing table overlooking acres of green from its window. Private bathroom with tub.
Patio Room
Intimately cozy, this room has a writing table under the East facing window. From the queen bed you look West to tree tops and blue skies. The private patio is wonderful for enjoying your morning coffee in the fresh hilltop air. Full bathroom with tub.
Balcony Room
Twenty-five feet of balcony with stunning views await your pleasure outside the door of this beautiful, window-filled room with queen bed, writing table and comfortable reading chair. A full-tiled bathroom with tub completes this room.
Eucalyptus Room
A few yards from our wildflower garden and stand of eucalyptus trees you'll enter a hardwood floored room with queen bed, rocking chair, writing/dining table, kitchenette and full, private bathroom with tub. It's lovely flagstone patio has charming views to enjoy while you dine or read at your outdoor table.
Oak Room
Come for your private retreat to this wonderfully appointed (relatively small) room with queen bed, microwave and refrigerator; shower in the tiled bathroom. Enjoy an expansive flagstone terrace underneath the towering oak trees.

Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA. Directions: we are located on a secluded 5-acre hilltop and are a little difficult to find, therefore we suggest that you follow the street-by-street directions on the on the “directions” page. 8% bed tax will be applied to every guest-room reservation. 10% discount for students and seniors (65 years and over). Check-in begins at 3pm. We close for lunch from 1-2pm, and again at 5pm for the day. We cannot guarantee any early check-ins. We have a simple procedure for check-ins after 5pm. Check your confirmation email please. Check-out is at 11am. Breakfast is served daily from 7:30-9:30am in the Main House. Free wireless internet.

If you need to cancel after the 5 day period and after you have been charged you are responsible for the cost of the room. We regret that we are not able to offer a refund. Every reservation and every cancellation will be confirmed by e-mail. Damages: any damages incurred by you will be charged to your credit card. Rates include use of the Living Room, Quiet Room/Library, Waterfall Garden, Pink Moment Terrace, patios and walking trails throughout the property, when events are not taking place. Events, yoga classes and massages are not included. 10% surcharge on special holidays. Rates as listed are for 1 or 2 people per room. For each additional person, there is a $50 charge per night. 2 night minimum on Saturdays. No smoking.
